Bus Supervisor Tablet Application

Providing street supervisors with real-time location and status of vehicles.

The client approached us with a request to design the user experience for a mobile tablet that supervisors can use to monitor the locations and conditions of the buses in a large transit system.  The supervisors needed the capability to identify, track and communicate not only with the buses but also with dispatchers.

The supervisors wanted the convenience of tablets, since they spend the workday on the street in their vehicles, traveling to and from the buses on their routes within the system.

TangentUXD created a user experience design that gives these street supervisors the ability to efficiently monitor the positions and conditions of all buses and to communicate quickly and easily to the buses and dispatchers.  Our client brought us the functions. We created the efficiencies.
